Dojo - Kun is the Karate warrior code. They are generally posted at the entrance to a
Dojo or at the "front" of the dojo (shomen) and outline the
very ideals for which we try to live our day-to-day lives by.
Sincerity
The absence of pretence, deceit, or
hypocrisy.
Effort
A vigorous or determined attempt.
Courage
The ability to do something that
frightens one; bravery.
Perseverance
Persistence in doing something despite
difficulty or delay in achieving success.
Self-Discipline
The ability to control one's feelings
and overcome one's weaknesses.
Humility
The quality of having a modest or low
view of one's importance.
